The Foundation's priority is to develop the next generation of philanthropists by providing a platform for youth to learn about healthcare philanthropy.
The Youth Advisory Council (Youth Council) is an organization that educates youth on the processes surrounding youth health and wellness-related philanthropy and grantmaking. It is comprised entirely of students, ages 13 to 18, and is an integral part of the Columbus Medical Association Foundation (CMAF).
Since 2001, the group has supported programs that target youth health priorities. Since its inception, they have made more than $263,000 in grants affecting youth in the central Ohio community.
